  1. I was diggin the podcast until you guys went on an anti-black girl rant. So how did you get an stereotypically ghetto female from Cheetara’s character considering she was voiced by Emmanuelle Chriqui who sounds like a valley girl? Lame dudes, just fuckin lame.

  2. Reggie,
Thanks for listening. I admit this episode took a wrong turn in the course of the conversation. Everything we do is truly in good fun, not intended to imply any subtexts, nor to insult anyone. Not that this excuses anything but, I’m a proud Afro-Latino American. Juan and Squirrel are my best friends. They are not racist and as they can attest, I can be very visibly angry in the face of truly racist, sexist, and hateful intentions. Superpodcasto is purely for geek talk and some comedy. We attempt to go for comedy in a similar vein as Bill Burr, Dave Chapelle, or Howard Stern… all of which are controversial, but not inherently racist people. My Cheetara comments were intended to make fun of Juan’s bad pronunciation, not a dig on the Cheetara character nor Emmanuel Chriqui. I would have said the same thing even if Rose Huntington-Whiteley played her.

All that said, I realize we may have crossed the line in this episode. I appreciate your comment and will make an effort to watch out for that in the future. Most of all, thanks for being a listener. Hope you continue to stay with us. – Grady.

  3. Cheetina…Cheetanya…Cheetyra….LOL

I used to watch Silverhawks too, they were cool. Though, I don’t know if they will work as a reboot. :p

Bengali was also my favorite from the original.

I’m usually reserved from viewing a great 1st showing of a new show, especially a remake because my expectations will be set one way, and they may decide to go another way (I’m looking at you, TOWER PREP!) But I agree it’s a good 1st episode. I do like the fact that they are on Thunderra, and that they are one of many races living there (I hope no Bearbils!) I also appreciate the fact that it’s set a bit in the LotR vein, and the show really starts on a down note. It’s a good way, I think, that a show can build likability and really cheer for the good guys. Fingers crossed, this show will be on my to watch list for a while!

Good review guys, thanks for a good laugh! 🙂
